When you look up the word civilization in the dictionary you get the following definitions:
civilization (sĭv'ə-lĭ-zā'shən)
n.
- An advanced state of intellectual, cultural, and material development in human society, marked by progress in the arts and sciences, the extensive use of record-keeping, including writing, and the appearance of complex political and social institutions.
- The type of culture and society developed by a particular nation or region or in a particular epoch: Mayan civilization; the civilization of ancient Rome.
- The act or process of civilizing or reaching a civilized state.
- Cultural or intellectual refinement; good taste.
- Modern society with its conveniences: returned to civilization after camping in the mountains.
But what I encountered today was civilization gone wrong- primitiveness.
I went out with my sister she parked her car and we went downpeacefully. A couple of hours later we came back and found a bunch of boys gathered around it, when they saw us, they ran away.
Why did they run away??
THEY ENGRAVED A HEART ON ITS DOOR!!
Why??
I tried to find a good reason, but I didn't...
Poor sis! She almost cried even though her car already needed a paint job, but a regular scratch is not as bad as a heart struck by an arrow from Cupid!
I had to laugh it off...
They did a great job in providing a prime example of sarcasm, ridiculousness and primitiveness...
